ELIZABETH C. BAGWELL
The artist, right, with jewelry designer friend, Jennifer.
A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Art Administration; art, design, and playing with scraps of paper to "create" things has always played a vital role in my life.
From a very young age, I have been crafting items in all types of mediums using various colors, designs, and patterns. Creativity to me means being able to take a blank canvas or piece of paper and being able to let things flow -- it is an opportunity to create something I envision; to create something that did not previously exist in this world. It is an opportunity to express our own individual thoughts and ideas as we see them!
My muse weighs only twelve pounds and has 4 paws! Thumper, is my very creative, curious, and also very agile 3-year old rescue kitty from the Spartanburg Humane Society. Of course not realizing he is a cat, does not slow him down -- it only speeds him up! As a very inquisitive kitty, Thumper, naturally enjoys "helping" me in my studio with all my projects whatever they might be and this can sometimes lead to T-R-O-U-B-L-E. But don't worry, Thumper has signed off on every piece of art that comes out of my studio before it reaches your home. It has a 4-paw seal of approval!
